The Muslim Academy of Greater Orlando (MAGO) is located in southwest Orlando and offers some of the best opportunities for private school careers in Orlando. Fingerprinting-Background Check Policy
All applicants and newly hired teachers will be responsible for a negative expanded pre-employment criminal history background check inclusive of the electronic fingerprinting (Live Scan) process in compliance with Florida Statues, Section 1002.421, prior to beginning employment at Muslim Academy of Greater Orlando.
To provide an appropriate educational atmosphere which encourages positive student learning and to participate in a dynamic setting with other classroom teachers, administrators, curriculum specialists and other staff members in the development and implementation of the school’s programs and goals.
Knowledge of prescribed curriculum and child development; ability to communicate effectively using written and oral communication skills; knowledge of current research; basic knowledge of technology; planning and organizational skills; ability to manage the classroom and supervise students; skill in analyzing, diagnosing and evaluating student progress and programs; knowledge of varied learning styles; ability to use effective, positive interpersonal skills. Commitment to a core set of beliefs about teaching, learning, and ongoing professional development.
Faculty and Staff must have a basic knowledge in technology for the following:
1. Microsoft Office 2010 or higher/ Google Docs
2. Data Entry (Entering Grades into an online database such as Gradebook)
3. Use of Chrome/Internet Explorer
4. Email Management/Use of Gmail
5. Use of Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10)
6. Use of Smartboard Technology
7. Use of Computers and their peripherals (i.e.: Keyboarding)
Should be able to wear Islamic Attire. Candidate should respect values and culture of the Islamic faith
